From Ancient Wisdom to Modern Wellness: The Enduring Relevance of Esiak

By Apricot Power
B17 Boosters Health & Wellness

The History of this Super Blend

The Ojibwa (Also known as the Ojibwe) Indigenous people occupied land around the Great Lakes in what is now modern day United States & Canada, and have been using their traditional Ojibwa tea formula for generations to help support the body’s enzymes, nervous system and to bolster immune and cardiovascular support.

In the early 1920’s an Objebwa tribesman shared the blend of ingredients with a nurse named Rene Caisse who started giving the supplements to her patients at her clinic, and the blend of ingredients have been used over the past 100 years by people from all over the world!

Ingredients for a Healthy Life

There are four core ingredients in our Esiak blend, and those ingredients are:

1. Burdock Root

The Burdock Root has traditionally been used for a variety of purposes such as it’s Antioxidant and Anti-inflammatory properties (The Burdock root is rich in antioxidants like Quercetin and phenolic acids), along with potential digestive benefits (as it contains inulin which may help promote a healthy gut biome), and more!

2. Sheep Sorrel

Sheep sorrel has also been used in traditional medicine for various purposes, and most people use Sheep Sorrel for its potential anti-inflammatory support (as It contains compounds such as oxalic acid and anthraquinones), and it’s also a great source of natural Vitamin C.

3. Slippery Elm Bark:

Slippery Elm Bark is rich in mucilage, which is a substance that forms a type of gel when mixed with water. This gel can coat and may help soothe inflamed tissues throughout the digestive tract. The Slippery Elm Bark has also been shown to be a prebiotic which may help support a healthy Immune, Cardiovascular & Nervous system, and some studies suggest that it may help regulate blood sugar & antioxidant levels as well.

4. Turkey Rhubarb (Rheum palmatum):

Turkey Rhubarb has been used over centuries by many cultures over the world, and it has even been used in traditional Chinese medicine for over 2,000 years!

Many people have looked to theTurkey Rhubarb for potential benefits in helping support good digestive and liver health. The naturally occuring Anthraquinones may help promote detoxifying and protecting the liver, along with helping clear and protect the digestive tract.
